Virtual Networkers

Jill Celeste,
Founder of Virtual Networkers

Jill Celeste's book review of Thank & Grow Rich by Pam GroutIf you want to have limitless prosperity and riches, Pam Grout believes you need to stay in gratitude. In fact, gratitude is the key to everything your heart desires – and this is the premise of her book, Thank & Grow Rich.

(Isn’t that a lovely play of words from Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill?)

Thank & Grow Rich is a fun collection of “party games” that are exercises in expressing gratitude. These party games are fun to implement, but they also get you thinking about situations where it may be hard to be grateful.

Each party game chapter includes an introduction to why the party game is important, how to implement it, and a story that relates to the specific party game. Each chapter is a fast read, but you want to take time to implement all of the party games to get the full effect of Grout’s teachings.

Did I attract more wealth as a result of Thank & Grow Rich? I did! (I talked about it in this blog post.) I continue to implement several of the party games every day.

If you want more abundance in your life, be sure to pick up a copy of Thank & Grow Rich. I don’t think you’ll regret it!

My big takeaways:

#1: Set the expectation that something awesome will happen to you every day.

As soon as I wake up in the morning, I repeat the following phrase: “Something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today.” And then I wonder in excitement what it will be!

Guess what? Something amazingly awesome happens every day. I now expect it, and I playfully wait to see what unfolds. It’s like Christmas morning!

#2: Every situation has something to be grateful for.

This was a tough takeaway for me because “bad stuff” happens in the world every day.

I am writing this book review on the Monday after the shootings in El Paso and Dayton. The “old” me would have scoffed at the thought of finding gratitude in these situations. But if you think about it – there are things to be grateful for, such as:

  • The Wal-Mart employees who helped injured victims
  • Private citizens who ushered kids out of the store and neighboring mall
  • The first responders who secured these scenes, especially in Dayton where they stopped the shooter from harming more people
  • The people who lined up to donate blood

Every situation is a source of gratitude. Even the devastating ones.

How Thank & Grow Rich relates to entrepreneurs

Here’s comes Jill’s soap box…

If you want to have a successful business, you need to work on yourself – personally and spiritually.

If you look at the top entrepreneurs out there, from Oprah Winfrey to Sir Richard Branson, they have invested in making themselves more enlightened, well rounded people.

No matter what stage your business is in, personal and spiritual development should be a high priority.

And if you want to make more money and serve more people, reading books such as Thank & Grow Rich will help you immensely.

I invite you to read this book and find the grateful moments in your life. Not only will you feel better, you’ll be richer, too. (  )

ABOUT JILL

Hi, I’m Jill Celeste. I teach purpose-driven entrepreneurs (just like you) everything you need to know about marketing so you can become the Director of Marketing for your business.

Because when you put your Director of Marketing hat squarely on your head, marketing is your number one priority (which will result in more clients!).

When I am not teaching about marketing, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband or my teenage boys, or taking a nap with my basset hound, Emma. I also like to play with my two kittens and feed the backyard ducks (much to my neighbor’s chagrin).

If you’re feeling alone in your entrepreneurial journey, I invite you to check out my monthly membership group, The Celestial Circle. Affordable, loving, supportive, informative, and fun – that’s how we roll in The Celestial Circle. We would love to welcome you!
