Would you love to attract more clients—without burnout, sleazy sales tactics, or feeling like you have to do everything?
Good news: There’s a simple, two-part strategy to grow your business sustainably. This isn’t a rigid checklist—it’s a dynamic approach that adapts to your unique strengths and preferences.
And I know it works—because it’s the exact strategy I used to grow Virtual Networkers by 63 percent in 2024.
I call it the Visibility + KLT Factor framework–a two-prong approach to client attraction marketing that is easy, practical, and efficient. Let’s dive in!
First Part: Increase Your Visibility
You can’t get clients if people don’t know you exist. That’s why you need a visibility strategy—to help you get in front of the right people and show them how you can help and heal.
Your visibility strategy also must be consistent, intentional, and, yes, JOYFUL! Choose strategies you enjoy so you’ll stick with them!
Here are some common visibility tactics for you to consider:
- Networking – Build relationships and connections
- Speaking – Host workshops, keynotes, or live trainings
- Content Marketing – Create and share valuable blogs, videos, or social posts
- Media & Podcasts – Get featured to tap into new audiences
- Writing a Book – Establish credibility and authority
- Social Media – Be visible where your audience hangs out
- Direct Mail – Reach clients through personalized letters or packages
- Ads – Amplify your message with paid marketing
- Affiliates & Referral Partners – Get others to promote you
- Sponsorships & Promo Products – Align your brand with complementary businesses
This is not a comprehensive list, but it should get your wheels turning.
Second Part: Build Your Know, Like & Trust (KLT) Factor
Hand in hand with your visibility strategy, you need a Know, Like, & Trust (KLT) strategy to build relationships and earn trust.
People buy from those they know, like, and trust. The stronger your KLT Factor, the more clients will say, “I need to work with her!”
Here are some KLT-building activities to consider. The first seven also double as visibility strategies, helping you get seen and build trust at the same time.
- Networking – Deepen relationships, not just collect contacts
- Speaking – Share expertise and let people experience your style
- Content Marketing – Educate and inspire your audience
- Media & Podcasts – Reinforce credibility through trusted sources
- Writing a Book – Provide in-depth value
- Social Media – Engage, interact, and be authentic
- Direct Mail – Personal touches stand out
- Following Up – Stay top-of-mind without being pushy
- Your Website – Make sure it’s clear, compelling, and client-focused
- Lead Magnets – Offer freebies to nurture potential clients
- Testimonials – Showcase proof of results
- Coffee Dates – Create genuine one-on-one connections
My Visibility and KLT Strategies
Here’s the exact strategy I used to almost double Virtual Networkers membership in 2024:
- Networking outside of Virtual Networkers
- Writing blogs (content marketing)
- Shared ideas on social media while engaging and connecting with potential new members
- Coffee dates to connect with potential clients and referral partners
- Inspiring Virtual Networkers members to bring guests and spread the word (referral partners)
That’s it. It’s not complicated, but it is effective. You don’t have to copy my approach exactly, but I hope this inspires you to choose your own visibility and KLT tactics to attract more clients.
Your Next Steps: Put It Into Action!
Now it’s time to take action! Here’s what to do next:
- Pick two visibility tactics and start implementing them.
- Select two KLT-building activities to nurture relationships. If you pick from the first seven on these lists, you’re getting a “two-for-one” marketing tactic, as they will help you build your visibility and KLT factors.
- Plan them out in your calendar for the next six months. Plan to stick with it, even if you’re not seeing results right away. Don’t give up!
- Track what works. Make sure you’re measuring for six months.
Remember, you don’t have to do everything. Choose strategies that align with your energy and business model. Over time, your efforts will compound—leading to more clients, more impact, and more ease in your business.
