A few months ago, I decided to restart my blog—and I have to say, I’m loving it again! It’s not just the break that did the trick, but also the new tool that’s helping me write better: ChatGPT.
Curious about how I leverage ChatGPT for my blog? It’s actually quite simple.
ChatGPT Edits My Blog Posts
I’m notorious for typos and word overuse! So, after writing a blog post, I copy and paste it into ChatGPT and ask it to edit the text.
In just moments, ChatGPT returns an edited version of my blog post, often with improved subheadings and a suggested title. It corrects my typos, helps me tighten up the language, and even reorganizes my thoughts when needed.
I always review the revised blog post to ensure I’m comfortable with the changes. Once I’m happy with it, it goes live on my blog.
It feels great to know that my blog posts are polished, grammatically correct, and typo-free!
It Helps Me Craft Catchy Titles
After my post is edited, I ask ChatGPT to suggest titles. I like having options because the first suggestion isn’t always perfect. Sometimes, I’ll combine elements from multiple suggestions to create a new title—and then run it through ChatGPT one more time to ensure it’s clear and spelled correctly.
The titles ChatGPT generates are often spot-on and SEO-friendly—a win-win!
ChatGPT Writes My Newsletter Blurbs and Social Media Posts
Once my blog post is ready, I ask ChatGPT to write a 50-word blurb for my newsletter. I also request a social media post complete with hashtags.
Again, I always tweak ChatGPT’s responses before using them, but it’s a massive time-saver!
The Bottom Line: ChatGPT Enhances My Voice, Not Replaces It
You’ll notice I don’t use ChatGPT to write my blog posts from scratch—that’s intentional. My blog is a reflection of my unique voice. With ChatGPT’s help, I ensure my posts are grammatically correct, highly readable, and typo-free—but the content, writing, and ideas are all mine.
Don’t shy away from tools that can make your life easier! I encourage you to explore using ChatGPT to edit your writing, too.
