Ask any entrepreneur, and they’ll tell you that the entrepreneurial journey is a bumpy one. Sometimes you hit a high point of total elation and then get blindsided by sucker punch.
Being a business owner is not for the faint of heart, right?
So, how can you stay enthusiastic about your business, knowing there will be days when you wonder why you’ve chosen the entrepreneurial life?
The trick is to find the joy in your business! When you tap into the joy, you’ll feel rejuvenated and re-energized about your business.
In this week’s marketing strategy, I will teach you three ways to find joy in your business. Let’s get to it.

When you are having a bad day, I want you to come back to this blog post.
Why? Because it’ll help you rediscover the joy in your business!
The Law of Attraction teaches us that “like attracts like,” which means if we want our businesses to work for us (and our ideal clients), we need to be feeling a high-frequency emotion.
Guess what? Joy is one of the highest frequency emotions you can feel!
Check out these three ways you can find the joy in your business (again).
#1: Remember your purpose
Why did you start your business? Sure, you may have wanted flexibility with your schedule, the ability to work from home or a desire to be your own boss. However, if you dig past these reasons, you’ll get to the core of why you started your business – and that’s the passion and purpose behind why you’re an entrepreneur.
For me, I decided to become a marketing teacher because I am passionate about helping female entrepreneurs understand marketing so they can attract more clients to their business. I have seen so many entrepreneurs “throw in the towel” because their marketing doesn’t work, and that saddens me. Marketing is not an insurmountable task – you can learn how to do it!
So, when I get frustrated about my business, I think about all of my current clients and those people who I am destined to help. I can’t help them if I am not in business anymore. By getting in touch with the purpose behind my business, I feel instant joy.
Remember why you started your business in the first place – and you will feel the joy again.
#2: Read your testimonials
Another way to tap into the joy of your business is to read your client testimonials. Testimonials written by your clients are instant affirmation that the world needs you and your gifts.
As you read each testimonial, pause for a moment and think about how you have positively impacted that person’s life. Relish in the thought of the success you created with your client. Smile at your client’s photo and think about the joy you have brought to your client’s life.
When you envision the joy your client feels, you can’t help but be joyful in return.
#3: Talk to a like-minded entrepreneur
Let’s face it: Entrepreneurs are a breed all our own. Most of our family and friends, while supportive, are not quite sure where we are coming from when we talk about our business struggles. How many times have you heard, “Why don’t you just go get a [real] job?” Ouch.
Fellow entrepreneurs, though, we get each other. And that’s why it’s essential for your sanity to be connected to like-minded entrepreneurs.
So, when you’re feeling a day of business lows, reach out to another business owner. Even a five-minute phone call or a three-paragraph email does miracles for letting off steam and reconnecting with the joy of your business.
If you don’t have any entrepreneurial friends, find some now (especially before you need them). Join a networking group or professional association. Invest in business coaching or a marketing program for entrepreneurs (such as The Celestial Circle). Entrepreneurs are everywhere – all you have to do is look around and find the right person or group for you.
Being an entrepreneur is a joyful thing. However, there will be days when you are discouraged or downtrodden – and may wonder why the heck you’re doing this. On days like these, try to reconnect with your purpose, read your testimonials or talk to an entrepreneurial confidante. Maybe do all three!
The important thing is to have these “points of joy” at your disposal when you need them. When you tap into the joy behind your business, you will have a positive mindset and enjoy your entrepreneurial journey that much more.

ABOUT JILL
Hi, I’m Jill Celeste. I teach purpose-driven entrepreneurs (just like you) everything you need to know about marketing so you can become the Director of Marketing for your business.
Because when you put your Director of Marketing hat squarely on your head, marketing is your number one priority (which will result in more clients!).
When I am not teaching about marketing, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband or my teenage boys, or taking a nap with my basset hound, Emma. I also like to play with my two kittens and feed the backyard ducks (much to my neighbor’s chagrin).
If you’re feeling alone in your entrepreneurial journey, I invite you to check out my monthly membership group, The Celestial Circle. Affordable, loving, supportive, informative, and fun – that’s how we roll in The Celestial Circle. We would love to welcome you!
