As the blog title suggests, I am changing my email newsletter! This is a big change for me, one I hope will help my community and streamline operations at Celestial University.
When you make a strategy change, especially one that’s so visible, it can be scary. What if I am making a mistake? What if no one likes this? Who do I think I am?
Oh, the Ego is playing full blast in my head.
However, I am a firm believer in not accepting marketing advice from my Ego. So, with some anxiety but a positive mindset, I am excited to unveil how I’m changing my weekly email newsletter. Please keep reading!

BLOG:
Since 2016, every Thursday at 6am Eastern, I have sent an e-newsletter with a blog post. The weekly e-newsletter is an excellent strategy because it gives you a chance to share your knowledge while having your name pop into your ideal client’s periphery once a week.
Sometimes, though, one outgrows a long-implemented strategy, and that’s exactly what’s happening to me.
Therefore, on Thursday, October 1, 2020, I will be sending out my last weekly e-newsletter.
In its place, I will email a monthly “university newspaper” that will include the following elements:
- Marketing or mindset lesson (just like my weekly e-newsletter)
- Celestial University’s Sister of the Month
- That month’s Celestial Book Pick
- Trixie’s campus tour (my basset hound will give you a tour of a part of Celestial University)
- A related article from the library archive
- ….and whatever else I may think of!
The to-be-named Celestial University e-newspaper will allow me to consolidate many of normal weekly and months emails into one communication, meaning you will have less emails from me (I don’t know about you, but I always appreciate less emails!).
Why am I changing my email newsletter
I am a truthteller, so I will be completely transparent with you: I lost my enthusiasm for publishing the weekly email newsletter. I teach that when you don’t enjoy a marketing task, don’t do it (because the negative energy will permeate your marketing). It’s time to follow my own advice.
In addition to my mindset, I am keen on streamlining my communications so that you receive the right amount of emails from me. Not only will this save me time, especially as I am writing my Loud Woman book, but it will save you time, too. That’s a win-win!
Strangely enough, I suspect I will blog more because I won’t be on a regimented schedule. Often, I feel the urge to blog about something, but talk myself out of it because it’s not on my weekly blog schedule. No more! If I am in the mood to write, I will write – no matter what day of the week it is.
When does this all start
My monthly e-newspaper will start in November or December. If I can pull it off for the first week of November, I will send it to you. Realistically, it’ll probably be the first week of December. I will be sure to announce it formally once I have a firm date.
While you will not be receiving a weekly e-newsletter from me, you will still hear from me through email as I celebrate October’s Sister of the Month, as well as invite you to join Celestial University when I open the “enrollment doors” on Friday, October 10.
