I walked into the conference room space, not knowing anyone and unsure about what to even expect.
After three years of being an entrepreneur, I decided to do something that took me way out of my comfort zone—attend a two-day conference, hosted by business mentor Fabienne Fredrickson.
I discovered Fabienne online and loved her approach to client attraction, so when she announced she was hosting her Monetize Your Message conference near me, I decided to go (even though I was anxious and nervous about attending).
In the lobby, Fabienne’s team greeted me, and gave me my name tag with a branded lanyard and a large coil-bound notebook filled with meeting notes. I was already impressed, but when I stepped into the meeting space, I was blown away.
The lights, the video screens, the sheer number of people—it was overwhelming yet exciting! But not just that—the little touches, like fresh flowers on a table on stage, branded director’s chairs for Fabienne and her guests, and the way the audience hugged and loved each other. It was a feast for the senses!
And then Fabienne took the stage, and she commanded it. We laughed, we cried, we were moved, we were motivated.
And as the event ended, a little thought dropped into my head.
Wow, it would be cool to host an event like this.
Flash forward ten years later, and today marks Day 1 of my very first in-person, two-day event for Virtual Networkers. The Sisterhood Soiree is smaller in scale, but what it lacks in size, it overflows with love, sisterhood, and learning. And, just like at Monetize Your Message, it will be filled with thoughtful details that make the experience magical.
Through the years, I attended many of Fabienne’s events, and I soaked up every detail—not just the content, but the experience. The little touches that made it special. I carried those lessons with me, and now, I get to weave them into my own event. While Monetize Your Message planted the seed, the Sisterhood Soiree is my own unique bloom—rooted in love, community, and the deep belief that when women support each other, we all rise.
As I write this ahead of the event, my heart is bursting with excitement. I AM ABOUT TO DO IT! I am about to pull off something I always wanted to do. And I know—deep in my bones—that this is just the beginning. More events, new chapters, fresh opportunities. It’s all unfolding.
I share this with you because I don’t want you to give up on your dream. Even if it feels crazy when you first envision it. Even if it seems like it will never happen. Because if you dream it, take action steps, and stay in faith—even if it takes a decade—it will happen.
I am living proof.
So, what’s your dream? What’s that thing you tucked away because life got busy or self-doubt crept in? Dust it off. Hold it close. Keep moving toward it. Because one day, you’ll wake up and realize—you’re living the dream you once only imagined.
And I’ll be here, cheering you on.
